Are you an expert in your field?
Are you wanting to make a difference in a business that has been conceived to instigate change?
Are you living the life you always imagined for yourself?
Do you want to work for a cause? or
Are you a location independent genius?
CircleWerkz is not looking for 9 to 5 work slaves, but for people who are good at what they are doing because it is driven by their passion. Tell us what your superpower is and we can look into how we can mutually benefit from each other. We are currently looking at building out our e-commerce and social media team.
Like any other start-up, CircleWerkz is a hectic place and always trying to juggle many things at the same time. If you are interested in becoming the right hand man or woman to the founder of a start-up, learning multiple facets of running a business quickly and from the ground up, then this is your opportunity.
As an intern, you will be involved in product portfolio research, social media strategy and implementation, e-commerce strategy, search engine marketing, event planning and implementation, social enterprise development, budgeting and keeping the founder sane!
If you are a self-starter, pragmatic, passionate, more interested in a unique experience rather than making money, have a sense of humour and believe in working for a purpose, then this may sound like a match made in heaven.
The world is always a better place with volunteers!
Are you interested in doing something new?
Do you like bringing people together?
Are you passionate about making the world a better place?
Are you looking to get out of your comfort zone a little bit?
Are you willing to help something get off the ground and make an impact?
Do you see yourself as a fabulous organiser?
We are currently looking into setting up two mega interesting inaugural events and need individuals like you to get them off the ground, so people less fortunate than us can start to benefit faster.
Or you would just like to nominate a particular person or company that has been exemplary at “conscious living”.
Ooops…no full-time jobs yet, but there are many other ways to get involved in this fabulous space and have fun. Check out the other sections or keep checking this page for further announcements. As the business grows, so will the jobs on this page….
Bloggers and Influencers
If you are an influencer in your community or a blogger and you like the idea of changing the world through the way we consume, it could be very powerful if we all connect the dots and join forces.
So please get in touch if you think your blogging site is aligned with this cause or is strongly advocating the pursuit of well-being, good health, a pollution-free environment, wholesome food, the preservation of natural resources, less waste, a circular economy, the rejuvenation of heritage skills, the purpose of social enterprises or a sustainable lifestyle.
I would love to have you as a guest blogger or vice-versa. Also very happy to do my bit to spread any good words or blogs for that matter in the digital universe.
Small or Medium Scale PRODUCERS
If you are currently manufacturing “responsibly produced” goods, whether on a small or a medium scale, and want to be featured in our blog, market place or social media, we want to hear from you.
We are building capacity to market any of the following products :
“Green” products: products that have less of an environmental impact or are less detrimental to human health than their traditional product equivalent.
“Sustainable” products: products that reduce the impact on the environment by using responsibly-sourced products; those that are either completely renewable or sustainably harvested and don’t compromise future generations’ ability to do the same.
“Recycled, upcycled or repurposed” products : Products which reuse items that would otherwise have been discarded as waste. Variations of recycling include “upcycling”, which involves adding value to an item for reuse and “repurposing”.
“Circular” products : Circular, Cradle-to-Cradle designed products are products, which are developed for “closed-loop” systems, in which every output ingredient is safe and beneficial
either to biodegrade naturally and restore the soil (called a biological nutrient),
or to be fully recycled into high-quality materials for subsequent product generations (called a technical nutrient) ie a zero waste system.
We are really keen to promote meaningful products and producers, who are looking to scale up their business and/or are looking for new market opportunities or consumer communities.
Social Enterprises, NGOs, Charities
Being a social enterprise ourselves, we love to promote and work with other social enterprises and businesses that do good and have a real impact on society, rather than just being profit oriented.
CircleWerkz is actively looking for Social Enterprises, NGOs and Charities that are making retail goods, which marry at least 3 out of the following 4 elements :
Sustainable Sourcing and Production
Preservation of Heritage Skills in danger of dying out
Income Stability for Disadvantaged (often rural) Communities
If your Social Enterprise is ticking some of the boxes above and is looking for additional market reach and exposure, please do not hesitate to get in touch. There is always a way to make it a win-win for all involved.
There are many different ways to define a Makerspace but essentially Makerspaces, sometimes also referred to as “fablabs” are creative, DIY spaces, where people can come together to create, invent, and learn.
Makerspaces come in all different shapes and sizes and whilst they are most commonly associated with using technology to create and design, typically the spaces will;
Foster play, exploration and participatory learning
Facilitate informal learning opportunities where connections between home, school, and community are enabled and encouraged.
Promote collaborative learning between educators and students
Develop a culture of creating as opposed to consuming
CircleWerkz is interested in teaming up with fablabs that
focus on sustainable design or
develop sustainable and scaleable product and packaging solutions, which need to get financial backing to become a viable commercial proposition.
Makerspaces are fertile grounds for cross-disciplinary cross-fertilisation and we would like to ensure that some potentially great, breakthrough ideas aren’t accidentally left on the design table.
